ECE 796/896 Human Factors Engineering

Fall 2011

Introduces the basic concepts of the analysis and design of Man-Machine interfaces, a discussion of how humans process and receive input including sensory input. Course material will focus on, workplace design, tools and human control and output factors. The effect of workplace environment will be discussed and its effect on worker performance studied, particular emphasis will be given computer hardware and software interfaces. The student will also study general application areas outside computers, including automobiles.

Prerequisites: ECE senior standing or Permission, 4 Credits.
